In 1996 we took our school performance show one step further. Along with WATC TV, in Atlanta, GA, we produced a 30 miniute television special called "Seat Belts Rule!". The show, (which was put together in 'Sesame Street' format) features 19 unique skits, songs, stories, hosted by a costumed Lovey Secure and I. Professional appearances by GA Fire Dept & EMT's, a plastic surgeon, Jennie Glasgow, the Founder/Coordinator of the nations first safety belt program “Bee a Buckler” Safety Program, segments in spanish & sign language, and even a cameo by the late Whitman Mayo (Grady on Sanford & Son.)
BUCKLES THE LONELY SEAT BELT - CHILDRENS BOOK
I wrote this sweet story about the importance of wearing seat belts, for our TV special and it's long overdue to be in book form. It features Photos of Buckles. A back seat seat belt that never get used.
SAFETY MIX & MATCH CHILDRENS MEMORY CARD GAME -
I was inspired to create this game, while performing my safety show for Hughes Spalding Children's Hospital in Atlanta, GA. I wanted to create a way for the kids who could not leave their rooms to get these important messages, and have some fun. The card game has 26, kid sized cards, with 13 matched up safety images. Each box would come with 2 identical sets for sharing. The goal for this memory card game is to get a corporate sponsor that will make our game available to children's hospitals world wide!
